“पाठ्यक्रम विकास निर्देशनालय सञ्चालक समितिको बैठक सम्पन्न”
मिति २०८२ साल पौष ३० गते मध्यपश्चिम विश्वविद्यालय पाठ्यक्रम विकास निर्देशनालय सञ्चालक समितिको बैठक उपकुलपति एवं सञ्चालक समितिका अध्यक्ष प्रा. डा. ध्रुवकुमार गौतमज्यूको अध्यक्षतामा वीरेन्द्रनगर, सुर्खेत स्थित केन्द्रीय कार्यालयमा सम्पन्न भएको छ ।
विश्वविद्यालयका हालसम्म निर्मित सबै सङ्कायका ७९ पाठ्यक्रमलाई एलएमडिपीमा आधारित बनाई परिमार्जन, पुनर्लेखन, प्रवोधीकरण, प्रमाणीकरण गरिएको र सोको एकरुपता कायम हुने गरी प्रकाशन तथा कार्यान्वयन गर्ने विषयमा गहन रुपमा समीक्षात्मक छलफल सम्पन्न भएको हो ।
बैठकले आगामी दिनमा पाठ्यक्रम लेखन तथा सुधारका बाँकी कामलाई तीव्रता दिई विश्वविद्यालयको शैक्षिक गुणस्तर अभिवृद्धि गर्ने निष्कर्ष सहित श्रम बजारको मागअनुसार पाठ्यक्रमलाई व्यवहारिक, सीपमुखी र रोजगार उन्मुख बनाउने निर्णय समेत गरेको छ।
बैठकलाई सम्बोधन गर्दै उपकुलपति प्रा. डा. गौतमज्यूले पाठ्यक्रम विश्वविद्यालयको पूँजी भएकाले सबै विषय र प्रकृतिको पाठ्यक्रमहरु निर्माण गर्न सकिने भएतापनि यतिबेला हाम्रा सञ्चालित कार्यक्रमलाई केन्द्रविन्दूमा राखेर समयसीमाभित्र पाठ्यक्रम निर्माण गर्न सम्बद्ध सबैलाई निर्देशन दिनुभएको थियो ।
उहाँले त्रिविमा झण्डै ७ सय ५० पाठ्यक्रम निर्माण भैसकेपनि कार्यान्वयनको अवस्था भने २ सय ५० देखि ३ सयको हाराहारीमा रहेको दृष्टान्त प्रस्तुत गर्दै पाठ्यक्रम निर्माण हुँदैमा सबै लागू हुन नसक्ने बताउनुभयो ।
बैठकमा रजिष्ट्रार प्रा. डा. शोभाखर कँडेलज्यूले पाठ्यक्रम निर्माणसँगै सोको प्रसारणका लागि सरोकारवाला सबै पक्षलाई सहभागी गराउन आवश्यक भएको बताउनुभएको थियो । उहाँले पाठ्यक्रमको डिजाइन, फर्मेट एकरुपता देखिने गरी प्रकाशन गर्न सुझाउनुभयो । रजिष्ट्रार कँडेलज्यूले कोर्स बनाएपछि सोको विश्लेषण आवश्यक भएको बताउँदै केन्द्रीय कार्यालयसँग विभिन्न निकायको नियमित रिपोर्टिङ एवम् सञ्चार संस्कृतिको विकास अपरिहार्य भएकोमा जोड दिनुभएको थियो ।
बैठकमा सञ्चालक समिति सदस्यको हैसियतमा डीनत्रय प्रा. डा. यमबहादुर कार्की, सहप्रा. डा. पूर्णमान श्रेष्ठ र सहप्रा. डा. आनन्दप्रसाद सुवेदी, सहप्रा. वीरबहादुर पौडेल, उपप्रा. दिनेशकुमार पन्त, उपप्रा. दुर्गाप्रसाद सापकोटा, उपप्रा. खेमराज रावत, उपप्रा. कमलराज लम्साल, उपप्रा. सुरेन्द्रबहादुर शाही र उपप्रा. कपिल बुढाथोकीको सहभागिता रहेको थियो भने आमन्त्रित डीनत्रय प्रा. डा. विनोद बस्याल, प्रा. चन्देश्वर प्रसाद श्रीवास्तव र सहप्रा. डा. दिपकराज अधिकारी तथा कार्यकारी निर्देशकद्वय डा. विष्णुकुमार खड्का र डा. यदुप्रसाद ज्ञवालीको उपस्थिति रहेको थियो । समिति सदस्य सहित आमन्त्रित महानुभावहरुले बैठकमा महत्वपूर्ण राय, सुझाव पेश गर्नुभएको थियो ।
पाठ्यक्रम विकास निर्देशनालयका कार्यकारी निर्देशक एवम् संचालक समितिका सदस्य सचिव डा. लक्ष्मीप्रसाद आचार्यले आफ्नो नियुक्ति पश्चात् पहिलो बैठकको संचालनसँगै पाठ्यक्रम निर्माणमा भएका कार्य प्रगतिवारे समष्टिगत विवरण प्रस्तुत गर्नुभएको थियो । बैठकमा उठेका विषयहरुको टिपोट निर्देशनालयका प्रशासन प्रमुख शेरबहादुर केसी र लेखा प्रमुख रचना विष्टले गर्नुभएको थियो ।
“Meeting of the Curriculum Development Directorate Executive Committee Concluded”
A meeting of the Executive Committee of the Curriculum Development Directorate of Mid-West University was held at Central Office, Birendranagar, Surkhet on Jan 14, 2026, under the chairpersonship of Prof. Dr. Dhruba Kumar Gautam, Vice-Chancellor of the university as well as Chair of the Executive Committee.
The meeting held an in-depth and review-oriented discussion on revising, rewriting, refining, and validating all 79 curricula developed so far across various faculties of the University by aligning them with Labor Market Driven Programs (LMDP). The discussion also focused on publishing and implementing the curricula in a uniform format to ensure consistency.
The meeting concluded with a decision to accelerate the remaining curriculum writing and improvement work in the coming days and to enhance the academic quality of the University by making curricula practical, skill-oriented, and employment-focused in line with labor market demands.
While addressing the meeting, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Gautam stated that curricula are the core intellectual capital of a university. Although curricula can be developed for all subjects and disciplines, he emphasized that at present, priority should be given to completing curricula for the University’s ongoing academic programs within a defined timeframe, and he directed all concerned stakeholders accordingly. Citing an example from TU, he noted that although nearly 750 curricula have been developed, only around 250 to 300 are currently in implementation, highlighting that curriculum development alone does not guarantee implementation.
During the meeting, Registrar Prof. Dr. Shobhakhar Kandel emphasized the need to involve all relevant stakeholders in the dissemination of curricula after their development. He suggested publishing curricula in a way that ensures uniformity in design and format. He further stressed the importance of analyzing courses after their development and underscored the necessity of fostering a culture of regular reporting and communication between various bodies and the central office.
The meeting was attended by Executive Committee members including Deans Prof. Dr. Yam Bahadur Karki, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Purnaman Shrestha, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Anand Prasad Subedi, as well as Assoc. Prof. Bir Bahadur Poudel, Asst. Prof. Dinesh Kumar Pant, Asst. Prof. Durga Prasad Sapkota, Asst. Prof. Khem Raj Rawat, Asst. Prof. Kamal Raj Lamsal, Asst. Prof. Surendra Bahadur Shahi, and Asst. Prof. Kapil Budhathoki.
Invited participants included Deans Prof. Dr. Binod Basyal, Prof. Chandeshwar Prasad Shriwastav, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Deepak Raj Adhikari, along with Executive Directors Dr. Bishnu Kumar Khadka and Dr. Yadu Prasad Gyawali. Both committee members and invited dignitaries presented important opinions and suggestions during the meeting.
Dr. Laxmi Prasad Acharya, Executive Director of the Curriculum Development Directorate and Member Secretary of the Executive Committee, chaired his first meeting since assuming office and presented an overall progress report on curriculum development activities carried out to date.
